About -topic, ZHORA, Dezi 5

So, I'm young, awkward, and really quite nice at what I do. I dropped my first album, "Finally Confident" a while back, completely produced by me. Available at http://topic.bandcamp.com/. Since that album, I've been able to open for Yasiin Bey(formerly known as Mos Def), Talib Kweli, Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, Danny Brown, Rapsody, and jam with Erykah Badu, the Cannabinoids, and RC and the Gritz. I've made a bunch of other projects, you'll have to hit up the bandcamp.

Zhora's has a reputation for high-energy performances and striking visuals. Her addictive melodies and imagery give a thirst for a fresh pop voice and exciting new flavor. Vocalist Taylor Rea of Zhora was introduced to North Texas as a pop electronic act with genre bending aesthetics and sweetheart synth ballads. Soaring through a voyage of light and sound, Rea's voice encompasses the heart and surrenders your soul to the rhythm and beats.

Zhora has opened for names such as Berlin, Sneaky Sound System, Yacht, JMSN, IAMX, A Place To Bury Strangers, Sarah Jaffe, On An On, ONUINU, Snowmine and many more.

Dezi 5 is the Best Male Entertainer in Dallas, Texas. He is inspired by the music sounds of the 90s such as new jack swing, dance, house, pop, and R&B. Although Dezi has been performing since 2008 he decided to embark on his first solo project as an independent artist a band leader. Dezi teamed up with longtime friend, producer Forrest Brooks of Rainbow Jungle Productions and over the last year he has been recording his highly anticipated debut album. The album is still in the works, but it hasn't stopped Dezi from performing. He believes that the key to recording a great album is from live performances and creating the moment. You can count with your 10 fingers the amount of performers that have the commanding energy that Dezi brings to the stage, which makes his live shows a site to see. He has performed for many weddings and corporate parties all over the DFW Metroplex and the United States as a male vocalist in Dallas' #1 Party Band Emerald City.
While gaining experience as a singer/musician/dancer, Dezi has supported many charities and is involved with the Human Rights campaign. He performed in the ALAN ROSS GAY PRIDE parade in Dallas, Texas 2012 singing Grace Jones' "Slave to the Rhythm", supporting the Dallas Libertarian Party. Inspired to get more involved with the LGBT (Lesbian Gay Bi-sexual and Transgender) community, Dezi helped raise money for the AIDS/WALK SOUTH DALLAS 2013 by hosting a show at the House of Blues Foundation Room. He performs annually for the Susan Koman Breast Cancer walk as well as the North Texas food bank.
Dezi has a commanding baritone voice and his stage performance is electrifying and full energy in which he gives credit to artist such as Michael & Janet Jackson, Madonna, Tina Turner, Mick Jagger, and James Brown. If you would like to catch Dezi in action he holds a weekly residency at The Free Man Cajun Café every Wednesday in Deep Ellum. He will also be appearing at the 2014 Deep Ellum Arts Festival on April 5, 2014 N. E. He is definitely a high energetic performer that has great pride in being a true product of Dallas, Texas generating a sophisticated style of MUSIC, CULTURE & HUMANITY. He is the energy of our past, present, and future. There is so much to be expected from the ICON in the making.
