About Repel The Robot

Albuquerque-born, repel the robot is an alternative-electronic duo now living in Dallas, Texas. Their unique sound is a mix of old and new, with influences of Coldplay, Deadmau5, and Radiohead.

Jarrett and Sean originally started gigging when they were both 17 in a garage rock band in their hometown. They gained the respect from their friends and local community enough that they hit the road in the spring of 2008. Unfortunately the band ended up splitting shortly after when the four members moved away for college. Jarrett and Sean however stayed in touch, and began to write music in a new direction. They both sent tracks to each other long-distance from Hollywood, Albuquerque, London, and Dallas. By the end of college, they had developed their unique sound and decided to relocate to Dallas, TX.

Repel the Robot released their first EP, "Who We Are and Who We Want to Be," in December 2013, which includes the track "This Big World," nominated for Best Electronica for the 2014 New Mexico Music Awards. Most recently, their new EP, "Why We Are Who We Are", was self-released September 30th, 2014, with the new single "This Time Tomorrow." They are currently writing material for a full length Album release.

They have been performing frequently since their relocation including performances in the southwest region of the US, and in festivals with artists like The Vaccines, Mew, East India Youth, Sphynx, The Lonely Biscuits, Marian Hill, Slow Magic, Carnage, and more.
