About Remanon, I Am Clark Kent, Posival

Remanon is 4-piece space-fusion/prog-rock outfit from San Antonio TX, formerly known as Accord of Dissonance.

Remanon is:
Nathan Alvarado - vox/tamale prep
Jeremy Vela - Guitar/back-up vox/long hair extraordinaire
Jimmy Rodriguez - Bass/dad
Roy Buquor Hernandez - Drums/nice lad

Remanon's sound has been compared to the likes of The Mars Volta, Rush, Santana, and is heavily influenced by alien life forms, the outer reaches of space, and the realms of sci-fi and fantasy.
With the addition of a lead vocalist, Nathan Alvarado in late 2013, Remanon is bringing a new dynamic set of songs to the stage. Winner of D'Herde South Studios Battle of the Bands, the group plans to record an EP to be released Spring of 2014.

It all started when sax player Daniel Matthews approached Riley Cottrell about being in a ska band in their high school jazz band class. They both gathered some friends in the jazz band and began to write the first few I Am Clark Kent songs. Nick Via became the drummer, Andrew "Red" Harvard hopped on bass and Ben Sheppard on the bari sax. The band played a few shows, but Nick had to leave the band so Brock Tacker from the band The Wife And Kids stared to fill in and later became the permanent drummer.

IACK recorded the first few songs that they wrote with a guy named Rob and that became the CKAF EP. Connor Kokarra, the frontman for The Wife And Kids began to play trombone for the band a few months after the EP was recorded. Time passed and Dan and Andrew graduated high school so Andrew had to quit the band for college. In September of 2014 Kyle Farley began to play bass for the band to make up the I Am Clark Kent everyone knows today.

Once the lineup was solidified IACK began to write music in a new direction that was much different than the ska punk tunes on the CKAF EP. The influences were more jazzy and incorporated a lot of math rock. The long awaited More Than Friends split was released with brother band The Wife And Kids which featured the last two songs of the previous style. The summer that was released IACK and TWAK hit the road for a east coast summer tour. After they got back they released a split with good friends Cheap Haircuts and Junior College and a band from Florida called Worst Party Ever. These two songs showcased the bands new sound, style, and direction.

I Am Clark Kent is continuing playing shows, and writing new music for the new full length album projected to be out sometime in the fall of 2015.

Posival was formed in July of 2013 when the bands songwriter Michael Posival moved back to Irving Texas after attending his first year of college. The bands original bass player Sam Smith first met Michael at a party at which Michael picked up a guitar and showed everyone at the party his songs. Sam Smith was impressed and indicated to Michael that he would like to play bass to his songs. At that point Sam and Michael had friend Erick Garcia jump on drums while Sam learned the songs. At that point longtime friend and former jam partner, Nehuen Erazo, was asked to join a few jam sessions by Michael. At that point the band learned 80 songs that Michael had written at the time. This was the birth of Posival. Since the band has started, Posival has had several bass players including: Sam Smith, Tyler Rowden, Javier Martinez, and several bass players that didnt last more than a week in the band. Currently Posival is a two piece band proving that with determination and drive success is in reach wherever the music will take them. Posival has a few singles that have been released such as: Wine, Soul, Son, Holding Lives, and Books. Posival has an album out titled "No Definition" and an ep titled "Books". Follow the band, Join the experience, enjoy the music.
