Red Bull Sound Select Dallas Presents: Tera Melos, Power Trip & BASECAMP

Red Bull Sound Select’s August showcase in Dallas will be hosted by comedian Clint Werth and will feature performances by Tera Melos, Power Trip, and Basecamp. Check out Tera Melos as they incorporate experimental rock, electronics, and unconventional song structure into a captivating and jam-ridden set on the Trees stage. The progressive indie trio is fronted by guitarist/vocalist Nick Reinhart and is backed by bassist Nathan Latona and drummer John Clardy. Their latest album, X’ed Out, has been described as “a super-collider of genres, riffs, and mad rhythms.”

Power Trip is a five-piece crossover, thrash metal band known for their intense onstage presence. Inspired by steel, speed, and destruction, the native Dallas group released their first full-length album, Manifest Decimation, in 2013 via Southern Lord. Nashville-based Basecamp will stir up the vibes with layered tempos mixing R&B with electronic music, seductive vocals, and incongruous musical textures.

There will also be plenty of door prizes at this month’s showcase, including a $500 tattoo at Elm Street Tattoo.
