About Doyle

DOYLE! Legendary Ex-Misfits guitarist Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein has broken new ground with his solo project, "DOYLE". A horror based hardrock/metal band of epic proportions, this quartet consists of two ex-Misfits members. Still grinding out heavy riffs is the hulking monster himself, Doyle, and bashing skins behind the kit is none other than the Abominable Dr.Chud. Alex Story from 'Cancerslug', the Wildman of the stage providing vocals filled with misanthropic rage, while still capturing the beauty of the dark side. Solidifying the quartet is Graham (ex-Graves, ex-Let It Burn) on bass, unifying the skull crushing sound that is the machine Doyle himself has put together. DOYLE cranks out music as scary as the Misfits, as doom laden as Black Sabbath, and has the same hard-hitting in your face style of metal as Motorhead or Slayer.

DOYLE - Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein – Guitars
Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein was born Paul Caiafa on Sept. 15, 1964 in Lodi, New Jersey. He is most well-known as the guitarist of the horror punk band The Misfits, which he joined in October 1980, at the age of 16. Doyle is considered by many in the horror punk scene as a legendary guitarist, setting the standard for future acts that attempt to emulate his aggressive playing style, skull cranking, and hulking stage presence.
In 1987, four years after the Misfits broke up, Doyle and Jerry formed the metal band Kryst The Conqueror. However, they never had a vocalist and only played a few shows, although they did record one album which was only released in its entirety on cassette. After several years of legal negotiations with The Misfits, Doyle helped to reform The Misfits in 1995. Doyle contributed greatly to two full length albums of new material. Doyle began writing material that would become Gorgeous Frankenstein not long after he left the Misfits and a self-titled Gorgeous Frankenstein album was released in 2007. Doyle has broken new ground in 2013 with his solo project, "DOYLE", A horror based hardrock/metal band of epic proportions, the quartet consisting of two ex-Misfits members.

Alex Story – Vocals
From 1999 to the present, Alex Story has written and performed as the notorius "Cancerslug". Often referred to as "the most vile band in America". With the help of various friends and fellow musicians, Alex toured and recorded with many different line-ups of the band Cancerslug. Several Albums, infamous live shows and well over 200 original songs have made Alex Story a legend in the modern underground.
From the blood red clay of Alabama comes one of the darkest minds of modern art. With an old-school work aesthetic this self demanding artist is constantly pushing himself to put out as much quality material as possible, always pushing to out do his past works. Bringing a raw animalistic energy to live shows, Alex is pure untamed adrenalin live. Primal and free.
Working closely with Doyle on the ABOMINATOR album, Alex's prime purpose in the band is to align the pure Brutality and Fury of the music and give it a lyrical focus to show the true nature of the project. Dark, poetic, haunting, words sang with conviction over a perfectly orchestrated Earth Shaking music. ABOMINATOR is a perfect storm of the most aggressive musicians sharing a common goal and vision!

"Left Hand" Graham Reaper – Bass
Bringing an Old School Punk style with an explosive aggression, Graham is the rock solid anchor to any band he plays in. He's a veteran of the New Jersey Punk Scene, starting out in many bands that generally ended shows in a hail of broken equipment and blood. This upbringing in the seething New Jersey underground taught Graham to brandish his bass as a weapon of musical destruction.
In 1998, Graham joined an ambitious band called Fast Times. With him holding down the bottom end, Fast Times traveled to every corner of America like a band on a mission. They became renowned for their energetic and unpredictable live shows. While playing the Mind Over Matter Festival in Europe, Fast Times shared a dressing room with The Misfits. This would be the beginning of many things to come. On this European tour, Graham also played guitar for the reunited hardcore legends Upfront.
When Michale Graves and Dr. Chud decided to start their next project after leaving The Misfits, they summoned Graham to fill the position of bass player. His dependable rhythm and melodic sensibilities fit the bill perfectly. Graves was formed, and quickly became a force to be reckoned with. They played multiple tours & recorded the underground classic "Web Of Dharma". After Graves disbanded, Graham continued to work with Dr. Chud, laying down some bass tracks for X Ward's "Diagnosis For Death" album.
In 2003, Graham joined Let It Burn, who had recently signed to The Bouncing Souls' Chunksaah records. After recording a split cd for Doghouse records, Let It Burn went on a headlining tour of Europe, and an American tour with The Bouncing Souls.
Graham is also a founding member of Blackpool, a band which showcases the more experimental aspects of his bass playing while still maintaining his powerful sonic signature. After Blackpool released their debut album, "Suspend Belief", they recorded a video for the single, "Dissolve". Endlessly creative and productive, Graham brings a craftsmanship not usually seen in bass players.
On bass, Graham completes the truly devastating rhythm machine that is DOYLE.

Dr. CHUD - Drums
Dr. CHUD has over the years become a name among fans and musicians alike rightfully taking its place among of that of the status of icon. Dr. CHUD, one of the most formidable components of the resurrected MISFITS shown brightly not only as a drumming taskmaster, but also as a directing force behind the band's songwriting and subsequent catalog of material.
He was born in Lodi, NJ in 1964 to what would become a circle of musical accomplishment. Stemming forth from this town was the vestige of many to be successes such as Glenn Danzig, Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein, Jerry Only, Eerie Von, and a continued list of talent that CHUD would deservingly share company amidst.
Dr. CHUD began playing drums at a very early age and had already been involved in a number of dedicated projects by the time he joined the MISFITS in 1995. These projects, all work guided efforts put forth by the good doctor included an 8 year stint with Dan Kidney and the Pulsations before he moved on to Sardonica and it's closely related sister band Sacred Trash.
During his time in Sardonica, Dr. CHUD was approached by lifelong friends Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein and brother Jerry Only of the now disbanded Misfits, and asked to play drums for what became a brief interment project entitled Kryst The Conqueror.
Amidst all of this, talks of reforming the Misfits had been circulating amidst the disbanded members continued to develop into less of an idea and more into a course of action. Henceforth, in the Fall of 1995 this action became solidified & the Misfits were reborn.
Dr. CHUD took with prestige the role of drums, but naturally there were hurdles to cross greater than just filling positions within the band. Songwriting was a key element that the band needed in order to develop the strong backbone needed to carry such a dutiful name and band into a new era.
Dr. CHUD, as initially stated, came to prove himself to be the guiding force not just behind the monstrous and intimidating drums that he had designed for himself, but in the area of creative dynamic as well. Writing most of the catalog of what is now heralded as the Misfits new classics, Dr. CHUD has become amongst Misfits fans one of the most iconic figures to ever hold position in the band.
Moreover, Doc had a huge hand in the overall production and mastering of all the Misfits recorded material from his inception to their disbanding in 2001.
Behind his blood bespattered robes, rubber gloves, and theatrical lurkings are the skills to back up any given rhythmic needs.
Like his band mate Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein Dr. CHUD, being as much of a craftsman as he is a musician, has taken his craft very personally. His awareness that the proper combinations of tone, aesthetic, and function are paramount led to the construction of one of the most instantly recognizable, lethal drum kits ever made.
After the dissolution of the Misfits in 2001, Dr. CHUD continued writing and releasing records, the first of which was a project entitled GRAVES in which he and the former singer of the MISFITS wrote and released a record which was followed by a few years of touring. After dissolving, GRAVES the Good Doctor continued to write and release records on his very own Bloodwork Records through the conduit of his own band, THE X WARD.
Ever present, ever active, and with equal stamina completing many US tours via the X WARD, CHUD remained visible on his own until approached by Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein to rejoin him in his band Gorgeous Frankenstein.
CHUD has been summoned once again to drum for Doyle's ground-breaking new band, DOYLE and he has proven time and time again that he will accent any efforts this band will set forth.
