About Arenda Light, The Infamists, The Raven Charter, Moon Waves, Kites & Boomerangs
Arenda Light is the product of many planned, yet unfulfilled jam sessions as well as an organic bond between musical friends. Featuring Nick Tittle, Rowdy Carter, Wes Davis, and Josh Banks, this heavy hitting quartet has found a way to blend the ideas of blues and soul with the presence of 90's rock in such a way that modern day listeners can not ignore.
"With a sound that is very reminiscent of a younger, earlier prototype of The Sword's style, The Infamists put on a great show in the hot and humid basement of J&J's at this year's Oaktopia Festival. With a strong mix of original tracks and covers, The Infamists gave a varied set that was entertaining and, frankly, exactly what rock 'n' roll is all about. No frills, no BS – rock at its core with good tunes that hit hard when the band needs to and eases off the gas pedal whenever the hell the group wants. In between songs there was a quick, "Hey we're The Infamists and we want you to have good time" but that was about it. Song, boom. Song, boom. Song, boom. No Bono-esque, mid-show speeches or any of that unnecessary mainstream crap. Just three dudes up there playing music for a crowd of happily drunk college kids – and I know I wouldn't have had the show any other way."

"Musical expression in Denton is a very popular form of communicating the creativity that the city possesses. Along with the Jazz and Blues festivals, there are always good, free local shows right off the square. As I was scavenging through the Denton musical acts, I came across The Infamists at a show off the square, a three piece with the good ol' riff rock tones that epitomize rock and roll, hard and straight to the point. The Infamists are one of the few bands you can find that exceed your live expectations. They don't mess around and tell you 30 minute life stories in between songs. They saddle up and ride their set-list with a seemingly renewed energy after each song. A band that people often relate them to is Wolfmother, however the two are vastly different in the way they play. If you're a Rock fan, you will enjoy The Infamists. Be on the lookout for their EP coming soon!"

Formerly out of Denton Texas, The Raven Charter is a Dallas-based progressive rock group who has been a part of the growing DFW scene since 2005. The group has had airplay on DFW's 102.1 The Edge's Local Show, The Planet in Stephenville, on Whskey Boy Radio, and RadioOKC.com online. Pulling influences from a diverse spectrum of musical styles has been a big part The Raven Charter's ability to create their own signature sound. Being able to transition from a progessive, odd-meter beatdown into a sexy groove or spacey riff is something The Raven Charter executes in an intersting yet charismatic way. Every song has a different niche and a different vibe. One of the things that The Raven Charter actively tries to achieve through their music is opening up the audience to a genre of progressive rock that they wouldnt normally experience. The combination of Daniel Baskind's liquid shredding and Garrett Bond's versaitle vocal range give The Raven Charter the ability to mold any type of sound out of their songs. But the defining characteristic of The Raven Charter is their live show. Intense and air-tight this band is an unstoppable force upon the stage. If you ever have the opportunity to see The Raven Charter live, take it and experience this epic performance for yourself.
A Dallas rock and roll group recreating the psychedelic influenced vibes of the 60's and early 70's.
