"The Santaland Diaries" is a hit solo show based on a short story by humorist David Sedaris that tells the outrageously funny tale of the author's stint as an embittered elf named Crumpet at Macy's in New York City. At first, the job is simply humiliating, but once the thousands of visitors start pouring through Santa's Workshop, Crumpet the Elf becomes battle-weary and bitter, occasionally taking out his frustrations on children and parents. Sedaris is the best-selling author of books that include "When You Are Engulfed in Flames," "Me Talk Pretty One Day", "Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim," "Let's Explore Diabetes With Owls" and more. This WaterTower Theatre production features actor Garret Storms reprising his role as the curmudgeonly Crumpet the Elf.
