About The Birds of Night

Birds of Night is a band that make nostalgically glazed Rock and Roll. Their songs are made from sun-drenched guitars, reverberating vocals, and loosely tightened drums.

They fit nicely with bands like Tennis, Ty Segall, Beach Fossils, and The Walkmen.

Birds of Night's latest record "We're a Family Now" was made in the spirit of great song writing and performance. It was recored and mixed with help from Eric Pulido and McKenzie Smith of the notable Denton band Midlake. The album has since been heralded as one of the best releases from DFW this year by the influential Dallas blog Central Track. Their music has been featured in Monster Diesel Vektr Headphones displays across the country, and featured in several videos by the popular website Buzzfeed. Their debut album "Snaps" was one of the top ten DFW albums of the year by Mark Schectman of 102.1 KDGE The Edge.

In the past year, Birds of Night have opened for Tennis, Mac Demarco, Diarrhea Planet, and The Love Language.

"...catchy and unrelentingly cool, deftly merging techniques and tones from the past and future." - Cory Graves Centraltrack.com

" It's jangly garage rock mentality makes it seem like a gem in the midst of the fools gold that floods the airwaves." - Leah Lovecat, Dingusonmusic.com

The Birds of Night ditched a bunch of elaborate electronic gear and stuck to a bass, drum and guitar formula, paying homage to rock legends that came before them with their unexpectedly Doors-y, Creedence-y sound. " Rachel Watts, Dallas Observer
