Simon Gronowski: A Tale of Resistance and Survival Presented by Dallas Holocaust Museum

About Simon Gronowski: A Tale of Resistance and Survival Presented by Dallas Holocaust Museum

In 1943, three heroic resisters stopped a deportation train carrying Jews to Auschwitz. Of the 1,631 on board, 231 dared to jump into the night. Eleven-year-old Simon Gronowski’s mother lowered him from the moving train into the darkness.

On April 7, Simon Gronowski is coming to Dallas from Belgium. Join the Dallas Holocaust Museum for an intimate evening with Simon as he speaks about his escape, his survival in hiding, and how jazz music helped keep him alive. The program will include a special jazz piano performance from Simon.

This event will take place at the Black Box Theater on the campus of the Booker T. Washington High School for the Visual and Performing Arts.

Tickets are free, but registration through Eventbrite is required. .
