A “BIG” BOOK LOVERS EXTRAVAGANZA IS HEADING TO THE LONE STAR STATE WITH 800 AUTHORS AND 1000 READERS.
With 200 workshops for authors, aspiring writers and readers covering 15 genres: erotica, thriller, paranormal, steampunk, inspirational and more. 100 Booksellers and librarians will be in the mix. Pitch manuscripts to New York publishing editors and agents and meet small press houses.
This five day “book industry event of the year” kicks off at the Hyatt Regency Dallas, Reunion Boulevard, Dallas, TX, on May 12th through Sunday, May 17th.
Meet and greet New York Times bestselling authors Sandra Brown, Kathy Reichs, Charlaine Harris, Lisa Kleypas, Eloisa James, Sylvia Day, Maya Banks, Heather Graham and Ilona Andrews to name a handful. Bestselling author Francine Rivers headlines the inspirational genre.
Besides outrageous nightly costume parties, cover model photo shoots, which makes great visuals for the media, one of this year’s convention highlights is a celebration party hosted by author Meg Cabot for 15th anniversary of The Princess Diaries!
Don’t miss Teen Day which features 100+ YA authors, such as Richelle Mead, Melissa Marr, Rachel Caine, Colleen Houck, Lauren Oliver, Tamora Pierce, Melissa de la Cruise, Margaret Stohl and Kami Garcia.
Parents are invited to bring teens for the Teen Day Party with a $30 Pass, admitting one teen and an adult chaperone.
Special $99 day passes are available for the Monday-Friday workshops. Library patrons get in Free to Saturday’s Giant Book Fair signing only. FAN-tastic Day is all about readers with tons of giveaways — book addicts are encouraged to bring an empty suitcase for all the free books, purchased books and giveaways; passes are only $55.
Tickets are $10 at the door for the Giant Bookfair Only. Library Patrons get in FREE to the Giant Bookfair only, on Saturday, May 16th, 11-2pm by showing their Library Card!
