Paul Nipper

The Austin, TX based band, assembled by Paul Nipper in 2014, was originally formed to play dance halls and honky tonks across the state and country. Standing on the shoulders of greats that came before them, they mixed in a few originals with a long list of their favorite covers and went to work on that classic country sound throwing a little dirt on the edges wherever they could. Whiskey fueled and hellbent, they fought to make their mark on the local Austin and regional Texas venues. Since then, they???ve covered a lot of ground, playing hundreds of venues in 25 states with a European tour in the talks for 2018. They???ve graced the stages of every type of venue from holes in the wall(@HITWATX) to concert halls, grinding and molding them into a seasoned touring band. The show has become a heavy hitting, yet heartfelt production incorporating influences from music history with the progressive artists that are pushing label boundaries in the Americana/country scenes today. These days you can expect to hear anything from a Stones cover to a Sturgill song mixed into strong Original sets. The sound can be best described as, well, there???s.
In May 2017 the band is excited to be releasing their third album, Kamikaze Heart. With Mike Harmeier of Mike And The Moonpies taking lead on production and Nick Jay co-producing and engineering the project at his studio, Century Recordings, in Dripping Springs, TX, they have finally brought to the table the project to take them to the next level. The tracks range from the classic country sound you???ve come to expect from the boys to a much more progressive aura, taking the listener into Waylon-esk/metamodern territory. They???ll be criss crossing the country promoting the album???s mid-May release and pushing the music out to new listeners wherever they can. Look for dates near you!
