About Mando Saenz, Jake Robison

Not long after sticking an MBA in his back pocket, Mando Saenz released his first record, Watertown, in 2005. Acoustically tinged, Waterown gained  recognition for Saenz' honest depiction of the world as he saw it through melody, song and story, rooted in a  Texas upbringing. Soon after moving to Nashville in 2006, Saenz partnered with producer R. S. Field (Allison Moorer, Todd Snider, Billy Joe Shaver) for his 2008 release, Bucket, released on Carnival Recording Company. Bucket introduced his audience to a more "amped-up" Saenz while gaining its share of critical acclaim.

Having been primiarily a solo writer, Saenz has since expanded his songwriting pursuits, including collaberative efforts. Most notably his partnership with Stoney LaRue on Larue's latest record, Velvet. Saenz has co-writes (with LaRue) on all but one track. Saenz also has cuts on the latest Kim Richey, Wade Bowen, Whiskey Myers, & Eli Young Band albums, as well as forthcoming songs on Lee Ann Womack & Jack Ingram projects. Saenz continues to tour, supporting his past catalogue and fine tuning new material for his next offering. He recently completed an extensive early Fall tour with Richey, and headlines shows throughout the country.
