About KFTW 97.5 FM The Pirate presents Sign-on Fundraiser: POWER THE TOWER!

Rather, Sally Majestic's music is a melodic and approachable blend of alternative pop/rock, punk, and reggae. Formed in 2001, Sally Majestic is hardly the only alterna-rock combo that has been inspired by Jamaican sounds. The music of Sally Majestic is at once both challenging and engaging, and can be described as The Police meets Weezer. And while The Police and Weezer have a more polished sound, Sally Majestic tends to favor a rawer, more rugged approach.

Cut Throat Finches are a rock band from Fort Worth, Texas. Comprised of Sean Russell on vocals, Taylor Tatsch on guitar, Jack Martinez on bass, and Shance Ryan Bentham on drums. They receive healthy radio play and local press, multiple appearances on local TV & radio programs, and the band's lead singer was nominated in the "Best Male Vocalist" category by local press. Energetic performers with deep local musical roots, citing primary influence from local music peers in Ft Worth area, as well as from a diverse segment of national artists such as The Avett Brothers, Son Volt, and The Old 97's. The band was officially formed in 2015 after they had released two full length albums in the US under Russell's name, and have just released a new EP called "Rabbit" which was launched in 2014 on Ch 8's Good Morning Texas. The Cut Throat Finches are a band of pedigree'd pro's currently working in the studio to complete a third full length LP which will be available on vinyl only. Yes, vinyl.

Definition at best: A ONE-MAN TRIBAL FUNK ORCHESTRA.

A hypnotic emotive musical experience that can silence a room, turn it upside down, and make it sweat. Armed with a battered acoustic guitar, heavy kick drum, native flutes and soaring vocals, KatsüK employs a myriad of unique and traditional instruments into a whirling vast rhythmic sound that led one fan to comment: "…the orgasm we have been waiting for!" From Middle-Eastern to Reggae to Rock to Funk to Country to Bluegrass to Psychedelia to Folk to Latin to a style like no other, KatsüK is truly a musical chameleon. "Weaving together an impressively thick sonic tapestry, I was really blown away by KatsüK and his massive Middle Eastern sound. Fans of Dead Can Dance and acoustic Led Zeppelin should check it out." -Harder Beat Magazine-

KatsüK originally from Dallas/ Ft. Worth, TX now currently based out of Denver, CO has toured nationally and internationally with such bands as A-hummin' Acoustical Acupuncture (AAA) and Spoonfed Tribe, playing such festivals as High Sierra, Bob Marley, Lollapalooza, Dreamtime Festival and many many more.
2001 Dallas Music.com - Singer/Songwriter of the Year
2003 and 2004 FW Weekly Awards - Nominated Best Acoustic Band 2005 FW Weekly Awards – Artist of the Year and Best Acoustic Band Nominated also for – Best Male singer, Guitarist, and Singer/Songwriter

TPS is a four piece folk project from Burleson, TX. Crossing genres of country, rock, and folk/ punk, creating a unique sound we call 'Blackgrass'. From genuine love songs to the southern gothic murder ballad, there's a little somethin' for the sinner and the saint in us all....

If you could hear the sounds of love and loss, heartache and happiness, life and death, all at once, it may sound something like The Phantom Sensation.
The raw emotion in the words of songsmith Brandon Burnett is a pleasant escape from the norm. It is easy to see how perfectly matched he and his wife, Jessica, are, when their vocal harmonies blend together onstage, coupled with Brandon’s guitar and the army of folk instruments Jessica plays in each song. Add to that the powerful drumbeats of Aaron Burke, Zach Zanetich’s smooth bass lines, you will be hooked!

Do-It-Yourself is not a new idea to the family of Jacob Furr. His history is one of work that sweats through blue collars and hardens hands, and his songs are a precise art that expose personal struggles and triumphs of love. Each song is an honest telling of story or emotion, careful to maintain integrity of structure and usefulness of line.

Hightower is a sultry, dark, campy, Texi-Cali band peppered with the influences

Debut Album, Echo Springs will be released later this year. Stay tuned.
