About Henry the Archer, Criminal Birds
Henry the Archer is Matt Hembree on Bass, Kevin Geist on Drums Richard "Henry" Hennessy on Guitar / Vocs. The Henry the Archer sound is a mix between: Post Punk, Blues, Alt-Rock, Pop-Rock, Indie-Rock. The Music is high energy with Catchy Lyrics, Intense vocals, Smoking Bass lines, and uptempo beats.
Criminal Birds is a four-piece band from Denton, Texas formed in 2011 by Taylor Dondlinger, Grahm Robinson, Reggie Hastings, and Gunnar Ebeling. The band's dynamic sound dwells in a purgatory between their sturdy rock foundation and the ethereal space above it. The eclectic blend of lush guitar textures, edgy vocals, and euphonious lyrics lie confidently atop a deep-rooted rhythm section.
The band co-produced their debut self-titled EP with Justin "J.C." Collins at The Echo Lab in Denton, TX. Since it's release in March 2013 the Criminal Birds EP has achieved airplay on various online and local radio stations. The Music Enthusiast said "[Criminal Birds'] EP is a wonderfully woven tapestry of sounds that shows off various sides to the group, and it's hard to fit them into just one category of music. The music is much more mature than you might think younger musicians would be capable of." The band's live show is one that is "on par with any big ticket national act", as said by Stephen Ellis of Auditory Asylum.
Since their formation Criminal Birds has been hard at work polishing their unique sound and touring in order to share it. The band is currently working on their second album, which will be released in February 2014. Keep your eyes peeled for Criminal Birds, as they are a band not to be overlooked.
