Join us for a screening of John Ford’s Academy Award-winning propaganda film December 7th. Filmed during Ford's service in the U.S. Navy during World War II, December 7th features Walter Huston as Uncle Sam vacationing in Hawaii before the attack on Pearl Harbor.

John Ford is one of the featured directors in our special gallery exhibit, Filming the Camps: From Hollywood to Nuremberg - John Ford, Samuel Fuller, George Stevens, which runs through August 3, 2017. During World War II, Ford served in the Navy and as head of the photographic unit for the Office of Strategic Services. He won two Academy Awards during his service, one for the semi-documentary The Battle of Midway and the other for the propaganda film December 7th.
