M. Leer has been fortunate enough to have played in several bands over the past 12 years, most notably Mandarin, Baptist Generals, History at Our Disposal, Paul Duncan, and Hallelujah- as well as more recent work with Lobisomem on the "Onze Pedras" release.

Between 2007-2008, he recorded an album consisting of a track-for-track reinterpretation of Gareth Williams (ex-This Heat) and Mary Currie's 1985 cassette-only release called "Flaming Tunes" Titled, "BEGUILING THE HOURS" this was initially a one off "project" not intended for wide release, although through contact with some of the people who worked on the original Flaming Tunes album it was released as a download only release on Jan. 27th 2009 via Life and Living Records (UK)- the same label releasing the original Flaming Tunes album reissue.

In May 2010 Diamond Age was coerced to play a live show thanks to New Fumes prodding and has since been developing new material for the next (and technically first) release...
