"Dallas Observer Iron Fork": Cooking Competition, Tastings & Entertainment

Highlighting the city's best restaurant cuisine, the "Dallas Observer Iron Fork" competition pits top chefs against each other for the prestigious award. Returning "Iron Fork" champion Matt McCallister of FT33 will battle Omar Flores of Casa Rubia in the center stage challenge moderated by restaurateur Kent Rathbun. Each chef will receive a basket of ingredients, including one mystery ingredient. Then it's up to these culinary maestros to turn it all into a mouthwatering creation. And if smelling the cooking gets you hungry, fear not: As part of your admission, over 40 area restaurants will be serving up tasting portions, which you can wash down with beer, wine and cocktail samples. Plus, enjoy live musical entertainment while you nosh at Centennial Hall at Fair Park.
