Captain Green

Born in the muddy waters of south Louisiana, the boys from Captain Green are cooking up a sonic gumbo good enough to slap yo' mama. Think of it as Intergalactic Space Funk; taking the electric jazz of the 70's and smashing it face first into the dirtiest of New Orleans Funk. Complete with intricate jazz melodies atop burning funk rhythms, this group of individuals know how to throw a "face-melting" dance party like no other.

Captain Green features Ross Hoppe (Keyboards), Robert Kilng (Bass), Darin Jones (Tenor and Baritone Sax), David Melancon (Trumpet and Flugelhorn), Grant Hudson (Guitar), and Michael Harris (Drums). They have been a part of music festivals such as Bear Creek Music Festival, Revolution Fest, Suwannee Disc Jam, Bay Fest, Secret Stages, and Radiopalooza and have graced the stage with acts such as George Porter Jr., Rebirth Brass Band, Bernie Worrell, Cope, Snarky Puppy, and Bill Summers.
