Book launch for Tim Madigan’s "Every Common Sight" with performance by Luke Wade

In thirty years at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Tim Madigan was one of the most decorated Texas journalists of his generation, three times named the state’s reporter of the year. He is also the author of four books, three of then non-fiction, including his acclaimed 2006 memoir, I’m Proud of You: My Friendship with Fred Rogers. Rogers the icon of children’s television, was in fact an early reader Madigan’s newly-published first novel, Every Common Sight.

“You’ve passed the test (for me) of great art,” Rogers wrote in 1998 after finishing an early draft of the novel that was two decades in the making. “You’ve helped me meet and learn and care for people who are painted by your words on a piece of paper. I find that an extraordinary accomplishment, Tim, and I congratulate you.”
