About "Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo"

Dark War Comedy "Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo"

Two homesick American soldiers, a tormented Iraqi, a displaced tiger and a toilet seat made of gold collide on the streets of Baghdad during the Iraq War in "Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo". A finalist for the 2010 Pulitzer Prize, the dark war comedy was written by award-winning playwright Rajiv Joseph ("Gruesome Playground Injuries", "The North Pool"). Surreal, haunting and darkly humorous, "Bengal Tiger" examines the madness of war and its aftermath, as well as the power and the perils of human nature. This thought-provoking human drama of redemption and forgiveness now comes to the Art Centre Theatre, in a production by screenwriter and veteran voice artist Eric Vale ("Chariot").
