About Aiden

Aiden began in the spring of 2003, it started out as Jake w, Angel, Jake D, and wiL. It started out as something to have alot of fun with and see where it would take them. They played their first show in July 03, at a pizza place in downtown Seattle called 2nd ave Pizza, after they had written only 5 songs. From there they started playing a lot of shows and writing more songs, most of which would end up on their debut full length entitled "Our Gangs Dark Oath". Nick was introduced to the band in the winter of 2003 and everyone decided that he should play bass and wiL should just sing. In late December Aiden went into the studio to make their first cd, with producer Steve Carter, who wiL had know from playing in an previous band. The result was "our Gangs Dark Oath". The boys took it into their own hands to make cd samplers of some of the material that would be on the album. They pressed about 2000 copies of the two song demos and passed them out at shows, gave them to friends and the like. The record was was released in June of 2004.

2004 was a very busy and exciting year for Aiden. They managed to play over a hundred shows, put out their debut full length as well as a split with another band from Santa Cruz, make two music videos, and catch the attention of one Victory Records. Not bad for a band so young that two of it's members still attend high school. I don't think dedication is even an option at this point. These guys take advantage of any chance to get out on the road, they even toured through the school year X-mas break and were in a hotel in Gallup New Mexico on Christmas eating subway for dinner. When asked about this wil told me "We all do miss our friends and families, with these guys still going to school we just have to take any opportunity to get out there and get known. This is my family, my brothers and it is awesome that we all get to be together."

So here we are, it's now 2005. Angel, JakeW, Nick, JakeD, and Wil have no plans on slowing down. Jake D and Angel will graduate in June. Production is nearing an end for their Victory records Debut entitled "Nightmare Anatomy" Due out on October 4th. The boys will be headed to the U.K. in May with Label mates Silverstein and the Black Maria, and out with the Hurt Process in July.

"What we have is a collection of cohesive new material, and something to say, We aren't holding anything back on this record. We are ready to let the world know we're here."
