About "53 Million & One"
Solo Performance Explores the American-Latino Experience
Like Billy Crystal's "700 Sundays" and Mike Tyson's "Undisputed Truth", Gerardo "Jerry" Ascencio's solo show "53 Million & One" is a humorous and heartwarming look at one man's very personal, but very relatable American experience. A talented mariachi musician, Ascencio also plays several characters and adds multimedia elements, as he entertains with stories from his own life's journey from Latino immigrant to entrepreneur. Comedian-writer-producer Rick Najera (Broadway's "Latinologues") opens the show with tales from the Hollywood trenches at the Dallas City Performance Hall.Comments
