The lovably daffy Mildred Wild is an obsessive film fan who deals with reality the only way she knows how -- through the skewed lens of one of the many classic movies she's seen. Staged at Contemporary Theatre of Dallas, this often-touching and off-beat Broadway comedy by Paul Zindel throws a variety of crises at our heroine, forcing her to retreat into fantasy and casting her real-life husband, his meddling sister and others as characters in various scenes from her favorite flicks, including "King Kong".
