"The Daughter of St. Nicholas": Xmas Play Within a Play

You'll find romance, drama and comedy under the tree when you go behind the scenes with a troupe of actors as they attempt to put on a holiday show based on the folk tale of Snegorka, "The Daughter of St. Nicholas". Set in early 20th-century Russia, the cast of characters in this small theater company are more colorful than those they're playing onstage. There's Vayla, the star and resident diva, Irina, a nervous usher who's been roped into playing the front half of a reindeer, sweet Sergei the Santa Claus and more.
