About Rising Fawn

Rising Fawn is an indie duo from Tyler, TX featuring Chauntelle DuPree, guitarist of Eisley, and her husband Todd D'Agostino, a luthier who owns Larose Guitars Inc., where he handcrafts exquisite and unique guitars.

Rising Fawn announced their signing to Rory Records, an Equal Vision Records imprint founded by Say Anything's Max Bemis, on June 7, 2013. Shortly after the signing announcement, their debut EP "Everlasting Songs" was released on June 18, 2013.

According to DuPree, they started the band, "mostly for the fun of it. It began with sharing some ideas and creating a sound to accompany those [visions]. It was a good outlet for music that couldn't exactly fit into Eisley's style." Rising Fawn draws influence from artists as diverse as Iron and Wine, Sunny Day Real Estate, Radiohead, and Pink Floyd.

Rising Fawn will release their debut full-length album "Sifting Through Sadness" on August 28, 2015. The duo spent the entire year of 2014 crafting the LP, which was recorded at Eisley's home studio. The result is a hauntingly beautiful album featuring guest instrumentation and vocals from Max Bemis (Say Anything), Darren King (Mutemath) and Christie DuPree (Merriment). DuPree's reverb laden vocals drift on top of the intricately moving music underneath. The dreamlike soundscape the album creates is sure to come through in their live performances, to create an ethereal experience for all.

Rising Fawn expects to hit the road later this year. In the past, DuPree has toured with Eisley all over the US and UK with the likes of Coldplay, The Fray, Snow Patrol, Mutemath and many more.
