About "Leading Ladies"

Cross-Dressing Comedy Caper: "Leading Ladies"

Two struggling Shakespearean actors in a significant career slump are touring the rural East Coast, performing in unappreciative Moose Lodges, when the opportunity of a lifetime arises. The rumor that a rich woman on her deathbed intends to leave her fortune to her sister's long-lost children convinces these two men to become "Leading Ladies" -- sporting drag in order to fool the family and earn $2 million. But the plan starts going awry when the local reverend gets suspicious and our heroes begin to fall in love ... and just wait until the real nieces arrive in this comedy from playwright Ken Ludwig ("Lend Me a Tenor") that's anything but a drag. Comedy, confusion and romantic entanglements abound in "Leading Ladies", coming to Allen's Community Theatre.
