About Fort Worth Rock Assembly IV

Foo Fighters cover band from Fort Worth, TX.

Un Chien pulls influence from American psychedelic rock, blues and experimental stylings. After a stellar independent release of their debut EP in Spring 2013, the band was quickly signed to boutique label, Hand Drawn Records.

The act is rapidly garnering attention as one of North Texas' most exciting live acts, and with their full length debut slated for limited release in December 2013, they are poised to begin ascendancy outside of the region. A band with limitless musical boundaries, and unfettered brooding appeal, Un Chien is fascinatingly two things at once; clandestine and thrilling.

Taylor Craig Mills:

"Mills' songs are classic American folk, with vocals that range from a clean, powerful sound to an almost wounded-sounding wail. The acoustic guitar work is tasteful and unobtrusive -- important qualities for vocal-driven music. You can definitely hear a strong Dylan influence here, and it's just the thing for a college-town bar or coffee shop"-STEVE WATKINS- dfw.com

"A nominee for best male vocalist (2011), Taylor Craig Mills has a thing for romantic Brit-pop, though he's Fort Worth to the core. His songs are neatly, crisply structured and arranged, and his masculine, no-frills voice has a world-weariness that's nothing short of captivating and endearing."- Fort Worth Weekly

"There's a beautiful exhaustion to Fort Worth singer-songwriter Taylor Craig Mills' full-length debut that invites listeners closer. Released under the moniker Mills & Co. (his bandmates include Kris Knight, Jeremy Hull and Damien Stewart), Don't Ever Look Back Twice is nominally folk, fueled by Mills' expressive, faintly anguished voice and music with plenty of space in it. In concert, Mills and his collaborators can work up a righteous fury, but here the songs are often exquisite slow burns, like the early highlight Shut Up & Ship Out or The Miles We Bend. An accomplished freshman effort and another feather in Cowtown's creative cap." -Preston Jones, DFW.com

Formerly out of Denton Texas, The Raven Charter is a Dallas-based progressive rock group who has been a part of the growing DFW scene since 2005. The group has had airplay on DFW's 102.1 The Edge's Local Show, The Planet in Stephenville, on Whskey Boy Radio, and RadioOKC.com online. Pulling influences from a diverse spectrum of musical styles has been a big part The Raven Charter's ability to create their own signature sound. Being able to transition from a progessive, odd-meter beatdown into a sexy groove or spacey riff is something The Raven Charter executes in an intersting yet charismatic way. Every song has a different niche and a different vibe. One of the things that The Raven Charter actively tries to achieve through their music is opening up the audience to a genre of progressive rock that they wouldnt normally experience. The combination of Daniel Baskind's liquid shredding and Garrett Bond's versaitle vocal range give The Raven Charter the ability to mold any type of sound out of their songs. But the defining characteristic of The Raven Charter is their live show. Intense and air-tight this band is an unstoppable force upon the stage. If you ever have the opportunity to see The Raven Charter live, take it and experience this epic performance for yourself.
