"Always a Bridesmaid": Comedy from "Golden Girls" Writer Follows Four Friends Down the Aisle

On the night of their senior prom, four friends promise to be in each other's weddings (no matter what) -- but they have no idea they'll still be fulfilling the promise 30 years later. Written by trio Jessie Jones ("Kingdom Come"), Nicholas Hope ("Teacher's Pet") and Jamie Wooten ("The Golden Girls"), "Always a Bridesmaid" asks the question, just how far are you willing to go to keep a promise to a friend? The story centers around hopeful romantic Libby Ruth, who has a perfect marriage, Deedra, who's just found out her husband has a wandering eye, tree-hugging Charlie, who panics when it's time for her own marriage, and high-spirited and self-involved Monette, who's tested her friends' patience with all-too-frequent trips down the aisle. Dallas' Pocket Sandwich Theatre says "I do" to "Always a Bridesmaid", a hilarious and heartwarming comedy that's perfect for anyone who's ever worn a hideous bridesmaid dress, knocked over a friend to catch the bouquet or questioned the saneness of getting married in the first place.
